Color is a powerful way to communicate with its influence on our emotions, behaviors and perception.
At Balebe, we integrate color theory into our artistry and beading practice. We invite you to delve deeper in to the fundamentals of color theory and also how you can implement color theory in your beading practice and everyday life!

Our beaded logo was developed in 2020 during our inaugural Phenomenal Woman beading event celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Maya Angelou. The colors gold, pink and purple represent wealth, feminine energy and royalty - all inspired by the life that Dr. Angelou led as a creative force.

Our signature logo was developed in 2012 with white and light green representing new beginnings, growth, renewal and peace. Our brand is a champion of healing and creativity - aligning with the clean slate of white and growth energy of green.
Color is known to evoke deep emotions - from sadness, anger, calm and reflection. Our 12 color system was developed from scientific principles correlating to research and cultural norms. We employ color theory in our designs, workshops and consultations.
forecolor Color Theory can work for you in your home decor, personal style and of course beading! Understanding the basics of color theory is an important part of mastering how to stay in tune with the color's vibration. Warm colors (reds, oranges, yellows, and golds) remind us to stay passionate, abundant, balanced and happy - while cooler colors (blues, purples and greens) are about staying calm, staying grounded and transformation.
Intentionality is a large and important part of what we do in our practice - employing color theory is no different! We use specific colors related to what we're hoping to achieve in our lives and/or what we seek to release. When on a healing journey, we encourage pink representing self-love and kindness. Golds attract material and legacy wealth, while red ignites passion to fuel your dreams. Incorporating complementary colors is an important part of reinforcing intentions while contrasting colors promote starkness, pops of color and/or duality.
