A time to honor what has been and what we are letting go of.
To release is to make room for the person you are now.
During this time, we work with shades of black that represent closure and endings. Black also represents authority and protection.
This is the time that we take stock of the year, releasing failures, giving ourselves grace and making room for new possibilities.

Focus on vision, intention, and alignment
After releasing, vision gives us a goal to move towards and a way to measure progress.
Clarifying our vision requires courage. The courage to choose ourselves first and the courage to change.
In January, we work with shades of silver that represent reflection, introspection and deep understanding.

Prioritize joy, creativity, and nurturing ourselves
In February, The holidays are behind us and winter has truly set in - providing an opportunity for rest. Self-Love is about honoring yourself. Shades of pink remind us to be kind to ourselves.
Nurture yourself by slowing down, prioritizing the things that rejuvenate you and give you joy unapologetically.

A time to embrace inspiration, connection, and exploring new opportunities
Every Spring provides a symbol of hope - a new way to go forward, a new habit formed, another chance to become anew.
In March, we conclude our 4-month-arc with renewed energy, clarity and focus. We work with shades of green that represent renewal, nature and sustainability.

Our healing is personal and communal. Circle of Beads is a sacred gathering of women doing the sacred work of reflection and transformation through the art and practice of beading and beadwork.

What season are you in and where are you looking to go? During this 4 month journey we will create beadwork that reflects each stage of this transformative experience.

Writing can reveal deep desires, emotions and your most treasured dreams. Our process includes journal prompts during each session to capture your thoughts and growth during the cohort.

All participants will receive a 1-on-1 session for goal and intention setting using our Balebe Beading Method and 12 Color system. This session is intended to support your goals throughout the 4-month arc process providing a framework for deep insights and successful completion of this experience.

Beading is a joy that I've shared with my family. It has allowed us to spend quality intentional time to strengthen our connections. The most powerful lesson that I've learned however, is that its critical for me to connect with myself before I connect with anyone else. Pouring into my own cup is how I model self-love for my children and cultivate energy to nurture my relationship with my husband.
I was first introduced to beading as a child at New Concept Development Center. At this independent Afrocentric school our teachers taught us a love for the arts, cultural traditions and creative expression. I began beading as a hobby and gradually began to develop my passion in to a wellness enterprise. I'm excited to share my love of beading during our upcoming retreat!
One of my other passions is the love of math, symmetry and balance. I've earned both a Bachelors and Masters in Mathematics specializing in Statistics. These principles have been an integral part of our jewelry's designs, studio architecture and strategic vision. As a graduate of an HBCU - I learned to be versatile and embrace all of my talents.
