Beading is a joy that I've shared with my family. It has allowed us to spend quality intentional time to strengthen our connections. The most powerful lesson that I've learned however, is that its critical for me to connect with myself before I connect with anyone else. Pouring into my own cup is how I model self-love for my children and cultivate energy to nurture my relationship with my husband.
I was first introduced to beading as a child at New Concept Development Center. At this independent Afrocentric school our teachers taught us a love for the arts, cultural traditions and creative expression. I began beading as a hobby and gradually began to develop my passion in to a wellness enterprise. I'm excited to share my love of beading during our upcoming retreat!
One of my other passions is the love of math, symmetry and balance. I've earned both a Bachelors and Masters in Mathematics specializing in Statistics. These principles have been an integral part of our jewelry's designs, studio architecture and strategic vision. As a graduate of an HBCU - I learned to be versatile and embrace all of my talents.
